August 2023 Update

Happy Monday! Let's start off the week with a big congratulations to Avellino Labs, our 2023 Ignite Basketball League Champions! They ranked the highest out of the seven teams that played in this year's league.

Our volleyball league is currently in session, with games on Wednesday evenings from 4-7pm. Come out and support your team on the beach volleyball courts!

Here's What's Happening in August...

New Wednesdays 12pm Class: Pilates HIIT

We've added a new class and instructor to Wednesdays at 12pm starting on August 16th. Join Sophia for a mat Pilates HIIT class, where high-intensity interval training, core strength and Pilates methods are combined for a great low-impact workout on the mat.

August 24: Functional Fitness Class with Sung

Come join Sung on Thursday, August 24th at 12pm as he takes you through 45-minutes of various strength exercises in a circuit style format that is sure to keep you moving and get your heart pumping.

August 30th: Group Fitness Sunset Social

Join us on on the roof top Wednesday, August 30th from 6:30- 7:30pm for some light refreshments and a chance to mix and mingle with the group fitness community. All group fitness class participants are welcome!

New Climbing Wall Routes

We updated the climbing wall routes at the end of July! Come give the new routes a try and let us know what you think.

Phasing Out Morning Classes in September

As of right now, we are planning to discontinue our morning classes starting in September due to low participation.

We'll be monitoring registrations throughout the month - if we notice a considerable increase in August, we may consider keeping the morning schedule into September.

Instructor Updates

  • Laam is back starting on August 16th - on Tuesdays she'll be teaching Kickboxing at 4pm and POP Pilates at 4:30pm, and Wednesdays Core Concepts at 5pm and Zumba at 5:30pm.

  • Alys continues to teach Circl Mobility until Wednesday, August 9th and will be taking over Monday Boot Camp classes after August 21st (starting at 4:30pm for two back-to-back 30-minute classes).

  • Arielle will be embarking on a new journey in the nursing field as a resident at Stanford Hospital next month, with her last regular fitness class on Monday, August 21st. We wish her the best and hope she'll return to sub our group fitness classes on occasion. Her infectious energy will be missed!
